i agree, need to search the next good image file like XnView Classic
Yes. Readability of PDF files and some image files depend on the plug-ins and add-ons available which could/should be determined at startup of XnView. Non-supported formats should be just skipped. If there's really
an unexpected error reading a specific file, then a message box and/or special graphic could be displayed.

0.85 has changed the behaviour... but it's not solved.
If you don't have ghostcript or anything like that, when you reach a pdf file Fullscreen shows a blank screen. It doesn't abort Fullscreen but it's distracting.
I think pdfs should be completely jumped when not supported.

I cannot reproduce this bug at all with XnViewMP x64 0.86 with Ghostscript 9.21 (x86 and x64 installed)
1 png image, 1 png image, 1 pdf, 1 png image

Sure, the bug only happens if Ghostscript is
not installed...
Re-read my former post.

I've noticed a behaviour change in 0.87 beta 3, (I don't know if it was previously present): XnView displays a warning message about Ghostscript not being installed when you Esc from a not supported pdf file.
Nevertheless, I do really think this is a sub-optimal solution. You still get the fullscreen blank screen which is fully distracting while viewing your mixed images and files. IMO, if XnView does not support pdfs, (or whichever other files because of whichever reasons), those files should be completely jumped over (as XnView does actually avoid exes, dlls or other similar files).

This problem is supposed to be fixed in
XnView MP 0.91. Please check and confirm the bug fix here.

Fixed!!! In full screen only images are shown. Pdfs are jumped.
