0.90: Error when opening large (panorama) images

XnView: MP 0.90 - 64 bit
OS: Windows 10 - 64 bit

XnView MP shows an error message when opening large (panorama) images: "Fehler beim Öffnen der Datei!" (German)
Other viewers, like the default Windows 10 image viewer, can open the image.

Effect: Error message is shown, image is not displayed.

To reproduce:
1. Open the file linked below
Actual behaviour (bug): Error message "Fehler beim Öffnen der Datei!" is shown. :bug:

Expected behaviour: No error message is shown, image is displayed.

This image was taken with Samsung Galaxy S9+ using panorama mode (default camera app).

This problem is supposed to be fixed in XnView MP 0.91. Please check and confirm the bug fix here.

I can confirm, that the bug ix fixed in 0.91 beta 1 :)

Hi there,
I have the same problem, and I have installed th 0.91 beta. Sadly this version only partly fixes the problem displaying Samsung S9+ taken panorama pictures. With some of the pictures an error message is still displayed. No trouble though opening these files with various other image viewers, e.g. IrfanView...
I have tried to attach a sample picture, but was told the file is too large...

You can send it directly to Pierre as an email attachment at the 'Contact' address on the xnview.com homepage, or if you wish upload it to a file hosting service and post a link...
