I'd like to see the DEL key working for Folder-Tree as well. ;)
DEL means: Delete folder

Wasnt sure where to post this, the RC forum or this thread?!?

That would be indeed useful. I second that.

I personally would vote for totally customizable shortcuts, but I assume this has already been requested.

As for my personal favorites, I am used to ACDSee's Num/ and Num* handling, which is exactly the other way round than XnView. Also a shortcut for Losslessly JPEG rotate according to EXIF would be nice. :)

shortcut for save as

I would like to see a shortcut for "Save As". I think it would be handy if you are viewing one picture and would want to save the picture as another format. Or if it can be added that different formats can be selected when save a picture.

Hotkeys, but *peanuts*

:) Hello All !
1. A small problem, but very irritating since I requested for it be solved for … Huuuuuu… !
- In the Browser, from the small tool-bar, one can get and edit the Bookmarks (Favourites) menu.
- One can set a "&" to define a hotkey in each menu-entry. The letter is shown alright as Underlined… But if you try to use it : nope !!! That doesn't work (for ages!)

2. Another issue in the same painting :
- “my little finger“ told me that the addition of hotkeys in some dialogue-boxes doesn't work too currently
(i.e. for the Options pages)…
- Although I'm not a keyboard-maniac (it's well-known), I guess that many expert users would be glad to get such hotkeys for the simple combination Alt+Letter (like in Total Commander, for instance)

 Pierre
- Please, could you enable these features ? I guess it isn't very complicated…

 Kind regards,
Claude

- Toggle between favourites - F10? (automatically, 1st press-go to 1st fav dir, 2nd press-go to 2nd fav dir)

- Open with Associated Program - Ctrl+LMB
- Edit with Associated Editor - Shift+LMB

...and minor changes

Clo,

Pierre is very busy, me too (as moderator now), so please be patient.

Loooong!

:) Hello!
Pierre is very busy, me too (as moderator now), so please be patient.
:P - When Pierre'll not be busy, I'll be dead, certainly…
… and I'm patient for several years yet, I guess it's enough, isn't it? :D

 Kind regards,
Claude

Dear Claude, you should probably be satisfied rapidly... a certain competitor has already enabled this feature (ir******)

Pierre, please ?

I misunderstood, could you explain more (or less - do this, there with this key - is possible  )

If your request is not that simple, start a new topic for it, I'll add it here (to my list) with a link to that topic.

Again, you want Alt+Letter for what?

Please read post from Fri Mar 04, 2005 19:34 (in this topic).

Try to find better shortcuts (no Alt key), but check if they are not already reserved (in help).

I'll add your suggestions to my 1st post (list) here as new then.

But--- it's simple!

:) Hello !

1. Favourite folders in the Browser :

- I wonder that you didn't understand a so simple issue…
• You can add folders to the “Favourite…” «Menu» opened by the small arrow-button, beside the “Favourite…” button of the small tool-bar. When adding a folder, a dialogue-box asks for “Type a title for the new «Menu» entry” or so. Typing that name in the field, you can add a “&” before a letter to set a hotkey, like this is usual and normal in all programs allowing such an operation.
• So, you get a «Menu» looking like THIS, where the supposed hotkeys are underlined, like I told above. But the hotkeys don't work! The reason is very simple, and I'd to wait for a long while to know it :
- This is not a Menu, although it looks as one, but an INI file in which the entries you configured are saved !
• Please, give a glance in that thread, the marsh's message and next…(thanks to marsh who pointed out this issue!)

2. Shortcuts in the dialogues.
Again, you want Alt+Letter for what?
:P Did you read really my whole message ? It's clearly indicated :
«…the addition of hotkeys in some dialogue-boxes…» as well for the Options as for various other dialogues.

- I meant that setting shortcuts on letters - which always work in Windows as ALT+Letter - cannot work currently. Indeed, this needs to add a bunch of such shortcuts in a language-DLL, using charms in order to test. ;)

- Currently, a letter only acts on the main Options list, while a shortcut like defined above does nothing, except a warning-sound from Windows. :(

- Like Paul Ouistiti tells above, this feature works in other programs, even in IrF***** (O! Sorry for the F-word!)

- This could be enabled, then shortcuts could be added “officially” when the language-DLLs will be updated later… The English language-base is the Pierre's business, he is quite able to solve that, I think :D

- The title of that thread being : More hotkeys, shortcuts..., the two issues I present here are quite in the topic, so there is not any need to start a new thread, IMHO…

 Kind regards,
Claude

Clo,

If I'm not using it, it's not easy to understand. Now I understand, but please start a new topic for that (just copy your post there).

I want to ask something, but not here...

The title "More hotkeys, shortcuts..." is not very accurate, there are too many hotkeys/shortcuts here. This is just "Hotkeys, shortcuts request list". Lot of hotkeys have a link to its own thread (I have removed links to some already implemented hotkeys).
