Shortcut keys for all modal dialogs

Post by bar_foo »

It would be nice if some standard keys worked in all modal dialogs; for example, after performing an edit on an image and moving to another image (e.g., with PgDn), XnView asked whether it should save the modified image with a "Yes/No/Cancel" dialog box. This dialog responds to keyboard input (e.g., arrows keys to select buttons, Enter to click), and to Y/N (the Y and N are underlined). But if XnView is set to confirm changes to a file before overwriting it, the similar dialog that appears does NOT accept Y/N as input (and Y and N are not underlined). This is a dialog titled "Question"; it reads:

The file $filename already exists!
Do you want to overwrite it ?

Note: the space before the question mark is a typo.

Also, this dialog has three choices: Yes / No / Options. It would be nice if choosing Options brought up the relevant section of the options, not the most recently used.
