Feature Request: Full Path Copy / Last viewed picture bookmark

Post by Silesian »

I evaluate many old archives in the form of JPEG files. The workflow is that I read many pages and only need references for a few of them. In a first step I write short descriptions on 2nd monitor with a reference to that files. Later I klick the link to that file and transcript it.

Needed Feature 1:
It is currently not possible to copy the full path and name of an image file to the clipboard. This would help me a lot, e.g.:
D:\Transfer\Downloads\skany\45_22_0_3_487_16_13025810.jpg

It would be useful to have a short cut available like CTRL-ALT-C.
Within Windows Explorer I have the extension "Path Copy Copy" integrated, but the change to explorer context menu is tedious.

Needed Feature 2:
The picture collections are often very long and it needs many days to research the content, especially with old hand written manuscripts.

If there would be an option, that XnViev would open the last viewed picture after start, to continue the exploration, it would be a great support. Also a fast book mark function by short cut would be helpful and possibly the better way.

At the moment I use XnView Classic in most cases.
Can you please imagine to implement the both features in Classic and/or MP?

Thanks, you are right. After configuration of shortcuts (in two different modes!) it's possible to copy full path and filename in a fast way (beside menu).
For my use case the bookmark function is not yet optimal, I will make a proposal in the MP section after trying to understand the current implementation.
