Hey

I have also a lot of images in folders, and 2GB RAM, but xnview uses it all when I open one of these big folders. That really slows down the PC.

Isn't still planned a preference for users using big folders? I think it would be good if you could set how much memory xnview can use at maximum, or a preference for deactivating pre-caching of thumbnails...

A small update: I just crashed several applications by entering a folder with 7170 thumbnails (size: 279x279) => XnView used more than 1GB of memory before my system got memory issues (I have a fixed 800Mo swap).

Not really a bug, more a limit of the current implementation. But it should be improved, IMHO.
