Batch Change Timestamp

Post by niklasoe04 »

Hello everyone,

My problem is that when I copy pictures from my PC to my phone the pictures are ordered by the EXIF date. However, my EXIF information is all wrong for some reason.

One solution I found is to use the Change Timestamp feature. There I simply use the "File created date" and change the EXIF information.

The problem is that I have roughly 2000 pictures and I do not want to go through this process manually for each individual one.

So my question is whether you can do the timestamp change using batch processing?

I hope my description is clear enough and thank you already in advance.

In XnView MP, in the Browser there is Tools > Change timestamp... which I imagine can be used to batch edit the metadata of multiple files...

Please note that I don't work with metadata myself, and I can't check whether XnView Classic has an equivalent function immediately as I am out of the house and on Linux.
