I'm referring to the post of "Xnview-user" in the forum "MP general support" :
Playback of video files and slideshows with mixed content (photos and videos)
Message par XnView-User » ven. sept. 07, 2018 8:21 pm
With MP (browser mode), when you double-click on the thumbnail of a video file (even small) to play it in full screen,
very often, it takes several seconds before it runs smoothly, image is full of digital artefacts;
same thing when you change from one file in full screen to the next (with mouse wheel or arrows).
This is not related to the size of the file, nor is it a question of memory or CPU power: it never happens with 'classsic'.
Am I the only one (with "Xnview-user") to have this trouble ?

My system:
Dell XPS 8900, Intel core I7 3.4 GHz, RAM 16GO DDR4
Nvidia GeForce GTX 960
resolution 1920x1200, écran Dell U2413
Windows 10 famille 1903 ver. 18362.207
Win 10-64, Intel i7, idsplay Dell U2413

Do you have an example to reproduce this problem?

by wetransfert. So with these samples, you have " it takes several seconds before it runs smoothly, image is full of digital artefacts"?

With these files and MP ver 0.93.1 /64b, there are no artefacts but playing is jerky, chopped.
is 'contact @ xnview.com' the right mail address ?

Yes, but I've inserted spaces for security reasons!

Code: Select all

useInternalVideoPlayer=false

Excellent !
The videos are now perfectly fluid, even when changing to the next or previous file durng play,
even if other heavy applications are open.
the viewer of xnviewMP has other small drawbacks as I mentioned, but I 'll post that in the MP forum.

Thank you very much, it's an argument to move from classic to MP !
