XNView Crash ThumbMode w/ .mov files

Hello,

I've searched the forum, but didn't find any thread concerning this issue.

I've experienced crashes at .mov files since ever and was excited when I saw the fixed .mov problem at the xnview history.
Installed the new version and the plug ins, but but the prob still exists. Are there other solutions?

:bug:

This happens in thumbnail mode, when an .mov file is analyzed by xnview.
Maybe someone can help me, or is it possible that there exist various .mov versions?

Thank you very much.

BR
Urmel

Thanks for responding, It's natively done by my DSC Kodak DX6490.
I remember that I had difficulties viewing these files.
But yes, I use the quicktime player for viewing it.
I hope this will help.

Hello,

I have the same problem with my Panasonic Lumix FS6. Is the problem already found/fixed?

Confirmed with HD MOV (720p) from Panasonic DMC-TZ5. I'm using QuickTime Alternative, older version, I'll try to reinstall/update it and send you a sample ASAP. These files are very big (17 sec. = 52MB), so please let me know how to send it, I could record just few seconds, 5 sec., +-15MB and send it via email, or bigger file and upload it to mediafire.com?

That is strange I tried it with another Computer and it worked... you are right, so I am going to setup my computer completely new.

The problem probably is described here: http://newsgroup.xnview.com/viewtopic.p ... 244#p83244

This happens only to Quad-Core-PCs and there is no solution but an uncomfortable work around.
