RC6: Clearer symbol for Film stripes layout

Post by helmut »

There's the excellent, new film stripes layout which can be set using menu "View > Layout". The two layouts at the bottom of the menu are the film stripes layout. Think the symbols of these two layouts should be a bit different from the other ones so that it's easier to spot them and see that these are special layouts.

I think we need a text description need to each of the images so it's easier to tell one from the others. I don't think changing the symbols will help much except having other users want better symbols for the rest as well.

You're right, it would be much easier to talk about.

He're my suggestions for ShortCuts and names:

Ctrl+Shift+1 - no meaningful idea (does anybody use it?) :P
Ctrl+Shift+2 - Most Preview
Ctrl+Shift+3 - Most Thumbnails
Ctrl+Shift+4 - xnView Classic
Ctrl+Shift+5 - Three Columns
Ctrl+Shift+6 - Top Filmstrip
Ctrl+Shift+7 - Bottom Filmstrip

Implementing the names in 1.80 shouldn't be that problem.
The additional ShortCuts could wait till 1.81 ...

What do you think?

If you really like it, you'll complete the list with a nice name for it, right?
