path in the title bar

Post by John DD »

Hello!

I'd like to see the path of the shown image in the title bar of XN-view.
That would make it easier to differ between images with the same name,
but in different folders.
e.g. in the subfolder 'emailpicture'

Thanks in advance!
Ciao, John

:) Hello ! Welcome aboard !

• I think that we had this in very old versions (IIRC)…
- I support that wish, as an option -maybe only an INI entry- because I miss it too.
- It could be something like i.e. :
E:\…\Pets\MyKitty.jpg
K:\…\Home\MyKitty.jpg
…wich could be sufficient to distinguish the two versions of an image having different (long) paths.

 Kind regards
Claude

Only the paths…

:) Hello W. !

• Efficient, as usual ! :D That damned Search doesn't find anything anymore here…

- I guess that we might propose again a new version of the INI entry I suggested,
only about the file-names & paths (to avoid a useless new nit-picking saga…) :
TitleBarShows = Flag
Image0 : Only the file-name as currently (default)
Image1 : The file-name + the shortened path, i.e. E:\…\LastFolder\image.ext
Image2 : The full name and path of the current file.
• So, more users would be relatively happy… Image

Clo's idea is the best one I think !
L'important n'est pas de convaincre, mais de donner à réfléchir.
The important thing is not to convince, but to incite to think.

:) Hello !

• Yes, indeed this can be completed, thank you - and thanks also to all users who support here,
specially to John DD who came and revived that topic !
Aside :  BTW, there is a full collection of small pennants on my server, i.e. “3” —> Image ;)

• We might get a 1.96.1 fix version soon, so :

PIERRE, PLEASE ?

What about some expression using image related variables, such as path, filename, size, bit depth, etc ?
