b1: [Req] Checkbox instead of "Write all selected"

Post by helmut »

In dialogs ""Edit ITPC data" and "Set comment.." we have a button "Write all selected". This button is used for writing the current values to all selected files.
This is a useful feature, but I don't like the buttons too much:

[Write] [Write all selected] [Cancel]

Instead, I'd propose a checkbox
[x] Apply to all selected files

This checkbox would prevent users from "accidents" which might happen when pressing the "Write all selected" instead of "Write".

I had a second look at the IPTC dialog and now see that it does not work the way I first expected. It's not a classic dialog with "OK" and "Cancel".

I have to think about this and play with the dialog a bit more and find a way to have quick access to both writing to one or several files and have a good user interface (without the fat "Write all selected" button). Perhaps someone else has a good idea...
