It's a bit early days, but congratulations to the 1.70, Pierre! Very good that you've added the selection proportions, this will make preparing images for the photolab easier.

I'll surely have a close look at the release candidate...

I've found a bug with v1.70 RC1 when trying to play AVI (WMV3 for video and Microsoft ADPCM for audio) in View mode XnView locks up completely and the task runs at 100%.

However, if I re-encode the files to use Intel's IMA ADPCM for audio there is no lock up and the file plays correctly.

Must be something to do with the new Video/Audio player?

And with the v1.68.1?
Is it possible to send me the file, please?
Pierre.

Ok, I just sent a test clip to <Mail address removed by moderator - please see Rules and Guidelines >.

Ok I've installed v1.68.1 again and tested it and everything works fine. The problem only seems to occur with v1.70 RC1.

This is odd, this morning I could re-produce the bug once when using XnView v1.70 RC1 for the first time but now every other time the file plays fine!

If I get the chance I'll record exactly happens using TechSmith Camtasia and then send you the AVI of that.

When the file doesn't play, the player is black with no preview and XnView has locked up.

Hi,
I have found a bug on the RC1 of 1.70, if you try to delete a file when only 2 files are on the directory (i tried on desktop with 2 jpg files) it doesn't change to the no deleted image and don't leaves to use the keys for change to the correct image.

Aokromes, it's a bit hard to understand what you mean. I've tried a bit and found the following bug (?):

Situation:
Directory with 2 image files in it.
First of the two files is opened in XnView (View mode).

1.) First file is deleted (Press 'Del' key and confirm messagebox)
-> Second file is displayed
2.) Second file is deleted (Press 'Del' key and confirm message box)
-> The second file is still displayed. Bug?

Not sure whether this is a real bug, since it is a bit hard to tell what XnView should do when deleting the last image in the directory.

Aokromes, is this the problem you experience and mean?

I cannot open your avi file, neither in XnView nor in Windows Media Player. When opening, XnView crashes and Media Player reports an error. Could you please check?

i can play the clip.
for what i've understood the problem is that he has 2 opened images (A and B) and deleted image A but Xnview ke+t showing it, when it should show image B cause the A was already deleted.
the same happens in the browser with the preview window. if u select and delete a pic the preview window keeps showing it.

now some requests:

 on mouse navigation - the ability to use just the mouse buttons or the mouse wheel. for exemple:
- using the mouse wheel to navigate and using the right click to open the menu and the left button to drag pics bigger then the screen resolution(fullscreen).
- or using the mouse wheel to zoom in/out and the left and rigth button to navigate.

 ability to use Esc key to close the program instead of just exit fullscreen-mode/closing the image on view-mode/jumping to browser on empty view-mode.
