EXIF missing strings…

Post by Clo »

:) Hello !

- Testing the exif_fr.lng file with a picture made by a Canon camera :

Fabricant : Canon
Modèle : Canon DIGITAL IXUS 400
I noticed that the following strings are not translated :

unknown (as a value) —> exists already in a section.

Picture info —> exists already in the "Canon" section as :
;135
[A010-0006]
Label=Infos image

- Has not been used for that pic.

Image number —> exists already in a section as “N° image”

Owner name —> totally missing.

Firmware version —> totally missing.

{ Aside : though it's possible to select one line only in the EXIF window, RMB >>"Copy to clipboard" copies the whole page ! I'would be able to copy the selection only… or did I missed something ? Ctrl+C on one line doesn't work… }

:mrgreen: Kind regards,
Claude

Hello!
Where it is possible to take a file exif_en.lng (English language)? It would be desirable it to translate into Russian. In advance thanks!

Translate EXIF

Post by Serezha »

After long studying EXIF and the subsequent transfer there is a question. Whether it is necessary to translate fields in EXIF on other languages? They are conditional terms and do not bear any semantic loading. (It is the standard) Transfer of fields into other languages often is not clear to become or wrong (the field has one name, and value of a field has other sense). What do you think on this question?
