Older (or newer) version of nconvert for Linux?

Post by PRFreeman »

Hello!

I am using nconvert to convert a multipage PDF into JPG files for optical mark recognition.

However the currently available for download version for unix has a bug/change introduced in version 6.88 and previously documented, which causes an issue (for us at least) when naming such files:
viewtopic.php?f=57&t=33879

Briefly, a call requesting output of the form FILE001.jpg, FILE002.jpg etc. Gives FILE001-0.jpg, FILE001-1.jpg etc. instead.
This difference makes the application harder to use in our context.

The problem is marked as fixed, but apparently only in the PC version, or at least the current download of version 6.88 shows this behaviour.

Is it possible that there is a newer Linux version with this fixed, or alternatively a link to an EARLIER version before this change occurred? The Archive section on the webpage for nconvert downloads offers only versions for older operating systems, not older versions of nconvert for, in this instance, Linux.

Thank you!

Earlier versions of XnView software can be downloaded from this [well-hidden] link:
