From MP 0.38.3 upwards the exact frame number of a frame stopped on is shown when stopping the animation of an animated GIF. The decision to show this exact frame number was based on a visual UI bug of the same nature.
Right, ok..
...But there is no way to go to the first frame of the animated file instantaneously, without using the 'next/prev page'. Ok, perhaps the xnview win feature of "open page number" will likely make into being ported for XnViewMP, however, even the "open page number" requires the instance of another modal child-window being opened. So the "open page number" is still very useful for those animated images with lot's and LOT's of frames.
So after that background explanation, my idea is very simple and should be bug free (I pray) upon first implementation and this is:
To simply be able to double-click on the xx/xx frame counter on the Viewer's status bar, which would just reset a Stopped animated file back to first frame.
Support of course for all animated image files GIF/APNG etc
The feature should work:
*During normal playback of animation
*When animation is stopped (Start/Stop command)
*When animation is stopped by using the 'next/prev page' controls
I think this would make a great status bar enhancement!
