100% CPU on startup if blocked by firewall (0.39, x64, W7)

Post by jmjsc »

xnview tried to contact HTTP duncan.xnview.com and I blocked it and made a rule to always block HTTP out by xnview.exe and now xnview.exe GUI is frozen and the process is running at 100% CPU. Sysinternals screenshot:

FYI I have a Core i7 4c/8t so 100% cpu for 1 thread is 12.5% (100%/8).

Seems to go away. I think maybe there needs to be a time out for the update check, don't you agree?
