Touchscreen Support

Is there planned support for touchscreens? This would be really useful considering the amount of Windows laptops with touch support now, especially the Surface.
I tried pinch zooming on an image and it won't work.

I use a Windows 8.1 desktop from an Android tablet via TeamViewer. Teamviewer supports touch gestures (swipe, pinch, etc), so if XnView also supported those...?
Well, the mind boggles.

Gesture support should probably lead to a new UI more suited for it: bigger buttons, different kinds of toolbar management, etc.
The whole "universal app" thing.
Not a trivial effort, certainly, but a very desirable one, IMO.
