As I run thru my images I wish there would be a function to write IPTC/XMP categories (or category sets) and/or keywords via keyboard shortcuts. Just like rating or color but of course with the ability to set more than just one.
Imagine a Tab in the settings menu that looks like the colorlable tab. You can set ...lets say 10 or 15 keywords and choose a keyboard shortcut for it.
Then the next time you come home from a photowalk in the park, you have the ability to go thru the photos in fullscreen, rate them and use one or more keystrokes to also write keywords/categories metadata to the image.
What do you think??

Re: Tagging via keyboard sortcut
Already available. Choose your Category, in RMB menu choose Edit.. and press your desired (combination of) keystroke(s) in the field "Shortcut". Save. What do you think??
Now you can use that shortcut to (un)assign your category(es) to the selected images.

Re: Tagging via keyboard sortcut
Hello m.Th.
Thanks so much for your reply!!
A few questions for you
Do I right click when in gallery mode or full image mode?
I only see "Edit IPTC data..." when right clicking in gallery mode.
I don't see "Edit" anywhere when right clicking an image.
Am I using the wrong version of XnView? I'm using "Classic"
Thanks so much again for your time and help!
Best Regards,
Kevin
