Please provide crop aspect ratios <1.0
I like to use 16:9 or 9:16 as the standard aspect ratio for most pictures, and there are other portrait mode aspect ratios that I use (e.g. 3:4 for portraits or 0.707 for A4). However, XnView only seems to provide crop aspect ratios for landscape mode (e.g. 1.78 for 16:9 or 1.414 for A4). Please add aspect ratios for portrait mode.

Thanks, but I don't find any such file. Where is it located?
P.S. A search my installation directory, c:\Program Files\XnViewMP, finds no XML files at all.
Searching the entire PC for cropsize.xml or CropSize.xml comes up empty.

Re: Please provide crop aspect ratios <1.0
As it turns out, XnView MP handles this automatically in most cases. If I select 16:9 and attempt to make a crop selection on a portrait mode picture, XnView MP automatically uses 9:16 instead. However, there are still cases where this does not suffice, e.g. when I want to crop a portrait mode cutout out of a landscape mode picture.

If you select specific proportions and select a part of the photo, after clicking again on the proportions option and selecting "specific ratio", the proportions are reversed. So, for example, from the initial selection of 16:9 you can make 9:16.rsbrux wrote: Tue Oct 08, 2024 1:00 pm As it turns out, XnView MP handles this automatically in most cases. @user0
Thanks, that created the file.
@Kadet,
That doesn't work for me (in XnViewMP 1.80). I see no change in the drop-down menu for aspect ratios when a selection is active in the picture and no "specific ratio". There is an entry "fixed ratio", but it doesn't seem to do anything.

You have right, sometimes it's not work, but mostly for me it works.rsbrux wrote: Wed Oct 09, 2024 3:23 pm @Kadet,

But of course, You can add new aspect ratios via "...".
