Pasting file into folder does not working when doing via right click

Post by postcd »

XnView MP Windows 10
Version 0.90 64bits (Mar 4 2018)
Libformat version 7.16

Hello, in XnView when i am in Explorer tab i see folders and files, i mouse left click one file and do Ctrl+X (to "cut" the file), then i right click a folder (in same directory as the file) and select to Paste.

But it prompt saying the file exist - because it is pasting to same/current directory not the one i right clicked and selected for pasting.

When i cut some file in WIndows Explorer and right click folder in XnView MP to paste it, it also pastes in current folder not the folder i right clicked for pasting.

Thank you.
I think this should be working by default. Because i think when i target some directory by right click it, it should be pasted into it.

I was just about to file a bug report about this and then found this thread.
I completely agree with you, and I strongly believe this option shouldn't even exist in the first place. Everyone expects standard Windows behaviour.
