Hi everybody,
"Open file list" command doesn't handle properly lines with non ascii caracters.
Effect: A file in the list whose complete path contains an non ascii caracter (say éàü....) won't display it's content in XnviewMP.
To reproduce:
1. Have a file text (.txt extension, UTF-8 encoding), listing existing files, whose content could be :
2. Open it with "File > Open file list"G:\Photos\Folder 1\photo.JPG
G:\Photos\Folder 1\photo accentuée.JPG
G:\Photos\Vacances été 2018\photo.JPG
Actual behaviour (bug): Only the fist file of the list can have it's content displayed. The following 2, with non ascii caracters in the full path won't be find by XnViewMP (see the property tab to see that the path is not correct).
Expected behaviour: All the files should have their content visible.
Workaround ?
I have not found yet a workaround... ANSI encoded file lists don't work better even if path displayed in property tab seems ok.
Hard to believe that the command is useless in many languages ?... I must be missing something obvious...
Additional comment :
I take the opportunity to remember that "File > Open file list..." also doesn't handle correctly a "file list" generated by XnviewMP himself... quite incongruous. Please see my suggestion added to the issue "File->Open file list, no thumbnails" at viewtopic.php?f=82&t=30195.
Thank you for listening and for the work you're doing !
