0.98.2: 'EXIF thumbnail - Rotate' changes file modification timestamp

Post by AntonK »

XnView: MP 0.98.2 - 32 bit
OS: Windows 10 - 64bit

Despite enabled option "Keep original date/time" for "Embedded Metadata change", the operation to rotate EXIF thumbnail resets the modification timestamp (to the current date/time).

Effect: Modification timestamp is reset, and the user has to make extra steps to restore it.

To reproduce:
0. Make sure the option "Keep original date/time" is enabled for "Embedded Metadata change".
1. Select any JPEG which has thumbnail in its EXIF metadata.
2. EXIF thumbnail - Rotate 90 (or 270).

Actual behaviour (bug): The existing date/time is updated :bug:

Expected behaviour: existing modification date/time shouldn't be changed if the option "Keep original date/time" is enabled for "Embedded Metadata change".

BTW the operation "EXIF thumbnail - Rebuild" also updates the modification timestamp, and I guess it also should follow the option to keep original date/time.
