Re: MP 0.98.3 - Tagging a image via Spacebar does nothing.
Seems to be fixed in XnView MP Windows Version 0.99.1 64bits (Sep 23 2021)
I'm able to once again use SPACE to tag files in the file list, and in fullscreen mode.
Thank you.

Is this bug fixed? I still can't tag with Space bar in fullscreen view (MP version 1.0.0 Linux)
I checked shortcuts, Space is assigned cmd_tag

Ah, time flies when you're busy...
I just downloaded MP 1.4.3, for both Win 64bit and Linux 64bit, and I'm running Linux with wine to run the win version.
So, in Linux, Space toggles tag in Browser and Viewer, both OK. (Having set space in shortcuts a long time ago).
But in Fullscreen Space has no effect.
In the Win version, having no settings previously, I set Space in shortcuts to toggle tag. Result is the same, Browser and Viewer work, Fullscreen not working.
If I change the shortcut to another key, say '.' or '/' then it works, I can toggle tag in Fullscreen.
The problem/bug is therefore the use of space in Fullscreen. Presumable it was reserved for next file?
And I did set Interface > keyboard > space to 'no action'.
Merci

Re: MP 0.98.3 - Tagging a image via Spacebar does nothing.
Ah, is it because the Interface > keyboard > SPACE setting has three available actions, and no other action is possible and any shortcut will be ignored/overridden?
"No action" actually inhibits Space from other actions?
So how about just add a 4th option for SPACE, Toggle tag on file?
There are at least 2 users around here who prefer Space for quick setting of tags!
It is especially useful in Fullscreen when cursing through a folder of new images, say to set the tagged with a category, or rating, or to copy them somewhere.
Tres bien

If you set SPACE to none, and change shortcut 'tag current' with SPACE it's work
Pierre.

You are right it is working... I must have missed it.
But in viewer mode, can toggle tag off (Space) but cannot toggle tag on! Wonder why?

Re: MP 0.98.3 - Tagging a image via Spacebar does nothing.
Strange in the setup for shortcuts.
In Browser mode, Space is defined only to Tag a file but actualy it work as "Inverting the Tag status" (On/Off), which is fine.
Such action exist in the list but no key combination defined. Same for the Untag action, left empty :
In View or Full screen mode the shortcut is Ctrl-T (inconsistent but could be adapted as suggested by Pierre).
Here again there is no key combination for the Untag action but it works as On/Off, fine again. Maybe just the texts defining the actions are now obsolete?
