Is there any way to remove set category from the menu?

When I hover over Menu>Metadata>set category, I get a screen full of categories, which is very annoying.
Is there any way to remove set category from the menu?

I am having the same problem. Click "metadata" and move the mouse and the "categories" screen - a full screen - immediately takes over my computer.... It must have to do with the 'expansion' of the item with the right arrow getting activated while just thinking about it! If I do a deliberate move of my mouse away from the dropdown then it doesn't happen but that is not intuitive and in fact I want to 'drop down' to the set GPS menu so it is even more awkward.

It would likely be satisfactory if one could re-organize the menu and move "categories" down to the bottom, or some such maneuver.

I would argue that this is ±impossible. I move my mouse lightning fast and it still appears.

This problem is supposed to be fixed in XnView MP 1.8.4. Please check and confirm the bug fix here.

I'm now using version 1.9.3 64bit.

If I am not mistaken the problem had been fixed but is now back in this version.

My apologies: I'm only a very simple (or simple-minded) user.

Can you direct me to a resource explaining how to use such configuration items? I don't see with my simple search anywhere I can place such a line. I do see the "code:" phrase used in hundreds of places in the Forum but finding the key resource is not going to be simple for me!
