Using 0.83 on Xubuntu, if relevant, and there's no menu listing open files, Close item on the File menu or Close option to add to the toolbar? It'd be good to have that functionality because the tab bar takes up additional space. What I've done instead for now is bind a script to a Command toolbar item to send the close keyboard shortcut:

#!/bin/bash
xdotool key ctrl+w

Also had to find a repository with the old gstreamer0.10-ffmpeg to successfully install XnViewMP in the first place, which some people might not know how to do.

Working nicely now set up, thanks!

Thank you all for your "Missing feature" reports! XnView MP 0.84 is available and I've just browsed through all the posts made here and updated the list of missing features accordingly.

Please help to track down the missing features in XnView MP (compared to XnView Classic):
• If you reported a missing feature which still isn't available in latest XnView MP and is missing in the list, please post it here, again.
• If you have a missing feature in the latest XnView MP that is missing in the "Missing feature" list, please post here, it will be added in the list, then.
• For features both new to XnView Classic and XnView MP please start a new topic in "Classic - Suggestions" or "MP - Suggestions".

• File Associations
you have it already in Settings>Integration
• Browser: "File operations" (Copy to, Move to, ...) missing in toolbar (see budz45's post)
• "Properties" in the tree pane (see Gérard 91's post)
Is added in 0.85

Good to read that Contact sheet will be added. I'll keep it in the list of must fixes till XnView 0.85 with this feature is available.

@Helmut :

Is Viewer | Image > Automatic crop already on the missing feature list?

Please delete this post if it is, thanks.
