tree explorer doesn't refresh

Post by sgreer »

Hi there

The file explorer doesn't seem to update after moving files around from within XnViewMP. I read that there is a keyboard shortcut to refresh (CTRL-R), but this doesn't work (I think it must be for XNView Classic).

Is this a bug, or am I missing a setting or something?

Any help is appreciated.

Cheers

Don't know should I post here or here:
http://newsgroup.xnview.com/viewtopic.p ... ee#p122748

but as I am on Version 0.72 x64, maybe this would be the more appropriate topic. As the matter of fact - it doesn't matter - as long as someone read it :)

So - I am having the same problem:
2015-03-04 01 04 48 - Folder tree refresh.png
The first two sub-folders (squared in red) have been moved to the better location, but they are shown in the old folder also - just in the Folder tree...

Hi Pierre,

Strangely - I can't reproduce it now. I am almost 100% sure I did it in XnViewMP, but... Itried both in MP and in Explorer (and Totalcommander as the matter of fact) - but it behaves now as it should be. Real time, as soon as I paste the folders in another place - they are not visible in folder tree any more.

I'll pay attention from now on and reply here as soon as/if I get some info...

Cheers,
Nika

Hi,
Just wanted to raise this thread profile and hopefully some time can be spent to fix this issue. Inserting or removing new drives doesn't get refreshed in the folder tree view. Thanks.

Hi, I wanted to raise the similar problem on Windows (10 x64 if it matters). I am not sure if it's XNView's issue, as both XNView Classic and MP behave the same way, and Tag & Rename does too - these are the programs I use a lot working with large set of files while doing some file operations outside of them. For example, adding-deleting folders in Total Commander, or creating a folder when saving files from a browser. These deleted and added folders are reflected in a folder tree only after program restart. Manual pressing Refresh doesn't help too. New and deleted FILES though are recognized correctly.
