No thumbnails movies/video (Ubuntu 16.04)

Hi, just installed XnViewMP on Ubuntu 16.04 LTS. XnViewMP doesn't show thumbs for my movies (.mkv .mp4 .wmv ...). Only the default moviestrip-icon is shown. How to solve this? Thx, Zach

currently the linux version doesn't show thumbnails for video files
