Change main Thumbnail window background gray
When viewing a folder of images in THUMBNAIL view, there is a 10-20% gray background that shows when the thumbnails do not cover the thumbnail window. I have searched the PREFERENCES and cannot find where to change this gray tint background to 100 black. Would anyone know the path to change this window background color?

See attached image. Note the background color of 10-20% black of main window, separate from thumbnail preferences. Is there anyway to change this to 100 black? don't know if the image made it

How do I get the 500 pixel wide image to you?

Re: Change main Thumbnail window background gray
For that you need to use your own theme, and change
Code: Select all
MyThumbListView{
background-color: rgb(0, 0, 0);
}

Re: Change main Thumbnail window background gray
Found the hidden xnviewer.ini file. Opened in Textwrangler. Did not find the item "MyThumbListView{
Can't "change" until I find the command. Do I insert the command you provided in the Textwrangler opened ini file commands? If so where? Should I save the newly edited file as a separate file, or Save and Close.
Sorry, not a programmer, but willing to experiment.

no sorry, you need to use View>Theme>Dark Theme
remove all, and add the MyThumbListView lines
remove all, and add the MyThumbListView lines

Bravo, that worked. I don't understand what I removed, but your coding worked. Thank you very much for your time and help.
When you get time, would you explain what I "removed". I would think I removed all coding for a theme, not just replacing the background of the theme. But anyways, your coding worked great, thanks.

06 29 2019 Pierre, I updated XNViewerMP for iMac Mojave. In setting up my solid black background I have turned off the File Name. How do I turn Thumbnail File Name for each item back on? It's the only text I want to see in this thumbnail view.

Also, I have forgotten how to turn the white border on all thumbnails off. I don't want to affect the selection border, but just the white border. I only want a black background then image+File Nameblackxacto wrote: ↑Sun Jun 30, 2019 4:59 am 06 29 2019 Pierre, I updated XNViewerMP for iMac Mojave. Re: Change main Thumbnail window background gray
I have removed the style for black theme.
But I cannot get the thumbnail views to go black. I set any mention of a background as black, and any text as yellow. But it still reverts to original gray background and all text. I only want file name and extension
