Filtering

Post by leiper »

Hi!
First time here - is there any possibility to filter selected pictures, for example: I choose the category "Grandchildren" and I just want to show pictures taken during 2017?

Thanks for good tip, but there is something wrong here.... If I search by date taken, picures show up. But when I combine that with Categories, no files are found! And, if I just take Categories, same thing - no files found. So I have some trouble with the categories...

I think it's related to your other topic viewtopic.php?f=82&t=38192

Select a categorized picture, and in "Info" panel, check if metadata are present in your photos.
Depending on settings you choosed in "Settings, metadata" window, you will find :
IPTC keywords ( in IPTC tab) or XMP:dc Subject or XMP:lr hierarchical subject (in XMP tab)

If keywords in one of these 3 groups ar OK, you can renew catégories :
Go to "Settings, metadata" window, set a mark in "Import XMP subject or IPTC keywords to DB categories"
Select a set of photos, and click "Update Catalog from files" in "View" menu ...

Note
If you want to select all files in subdirectories, right clic on the parent directory and select "see all files, recursive") or use the button located near settings
(French version :))
