Choosing new tab location

When I'm clicking on pictures in an album and the pictures show up in my tab is there a way to choose where the new pictures show up in my tab? Usually newly selected pictures show up in the far right but sometimes I want those pictures to be in a specific order on my tabs and that means I have to move the new pictures manually to the right order.
It would be nice to set the newly selected pictures to follow the browser tab that way all I have to do is move the browser tab once and then I can click on as many new pictures and they would be where I want them.
Does this make sense? for example if my pictures are organized in folders by date and I've opened a folder named 1 and another folder named 3 but I decided to open folder 2 I can move the browser tab after the last picture from folder 1 but before folder 3 and any newly selected pictures will pop up between 1 and 3. As it is if I'm going through folder 2 and selecting pictures they will show up after 3 making the order 1, 3, then 2 instead of 1, 2, and 3.
