New and happy user- This is a very quick software that helps my pipeline enormously.
But I cannot get the "auto zoom" under View to work. I want the 'last used' to govern how the next file will be shown, i.e. if I zoomed in the original to the pertinent part of the pic, I want the next file that I scroll to to be zoomed exactly the same.
Whichever way I change the settings on the View page I cannot get this to work.
What am I missing?
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Cannot get 'View/Auto zoom' to work

View > Zoom > Lock zoom at the bottom of the options list?

Alternatively there is Tools > Settings... > View -- Lock zoom at the top...
Not sure how those two interact, if you think you have found a bug please report it with, if possible, steps to reproduce.

Re: Cannot get 'View/Auto zoom' to work
The "lock zoom" should be exactly what I am searching for.
But I am lost as where to find it - All I've seen is on the 'Settings/View" page where I've chosen "last used". The box 'Reset auto zoom' I have tried with both versions, but unchecked seems most reasonable.
But as a complete beginner with this software I have to confess that I cannot find an 'Options list'. As to your second alternative, that is the way I have tried to lock the zoom, but in the view I get, there is no "lock zoom" at the top ... strange.
I just recently downloaded and installed, but I doubt that different versions is at play here. And report a bug seems overkill so far, since likely I am just missing something obvious.

In the viewer, View > Zoom > Lock zoom at the bottom of the displayed options?

Re: Cannot get 'View/Auto zoom' to work
Finally!
There was a "preview" in between View and Zoom... View - Preview - Zoom - Lock zoom.
If I was in file managemebnt view (i e thumbnails) this was the case.
If on the other hand I opened the View roll-down while showing a full picture file, regardless of zoomed in or not, the View had Zoom as the second entry, without having to go through Preview.
But I'm good now. Thanks a lot for your patience.

You were in the file browser, not the viewer/image editor? That has a View > Preview setting, but not a View > Lock zoom option, and the Settings... > View > Lock zoom setting presumably is not applicable to the file browser??Oiving wrote: ↑Tue Aug 20, 2024 6:21 pm Finally!
