Export all pages from a Multi-page TIFF

Post by corr »

Hello,

I searched hard but could not find a way in the current XnView MP to export from a multi page TIFF all images lossless to separate files. Would be grateful for a hint. :)

I think that option - inexplicably - hasn't been added to XnView MP yet (it would be expected to be found in the file browser)... :?: :(

However, good news, you should be able to do it using Tools > Batch convert if you configure the Output tab suitably, and Batch convert can be used for a single input file if required... :D

Yes, I forgot to write that I also tried batch conversion. It seems to recognize the number of pagess and generate images for them, but only from the first page. So a tiff with 13 pages generates 13 image files, but only with content from the first pages. So it seems to be a bug. I can't find any possible setting that could be a cause for the behavior.

@corr:

Reading the whole thread again, it still isn't entirely clear whether you wish to:

A. Extract all pages from a multipage TIFF to separate single-page TIFF files.

B. Convert a multipage TIFF to a multipage TIFF file, presumably after editing the pages in Batch convert.

As I said, I tried that, but I only get the first page in all the files.

Are you possibly trying to convert multiple multipage files to new multipage files?

I have no problem converting a multipage TIFF to a multipage TIFF using XnConvert 1.90 with 'Convert multipage file to multipage file (when possible)' enabled.

When you view the pages of the output file in XnView software, are you using the small arrows on the toolbar to step through the pages, if they exist, the large arrows will step between the first pages of multipage files?
