I cannot find the place for the link to download the plugin, in the documentation or the forum
Except in my own post (
viewtopic.php?p=195092#p195092 )
Here is the link :
https://download.xnview.com/XnViewMP_FaceTag.zip
Is there a place in the documentation where to find this link ?
In a new PC for a friend, (W10) , XnViewMP (portable V1.6.4 ) was dezipped in :
D:\Program\XnViewMP folder
The plugin is installed in :
D:\Program\XnViewMP\
AddOn\FaceTag
-When I open Tools>Plugins > ... the dialog
AddOns and Plugins is still empty , even after restart.
and of course, Metadata >Face tag is greyed
What am I doing wrong ?

AddOns and Plugins is empty, even on a new install.
Got only "Cancel" button

Yes, internet access is ok,
Windows 10 new install, with default antivirus and firewall , no other added.
Google maps displayed in Info>Gps tab
New Xnviewmp unzipped in C:\test, default settings, with "program folder"selected for settings at startup.

I tried on my own PC (Win 7, Xn V1.6.3) , plugins are shown in Tools Plugins, but ...
- When I click "Install" for "face tagging", dowload progress is shown, then I get : " Error : Install error" message
And an empty "AddOns" folder is created next to existing "AddOn" folder
- For other Plugins, download progress is very fast, and I get the same "Error : install error"
(but no AddOns folder created)

red bell
I copied archive.dll from V1.4 , and pasted it in XnViewMP folder ( I:\3 temp\XnViewMP\ for V1.6.4)
...
Now I can install plugins !
(Explanation : I have been using "procmon.exe"... I saw that lhe last file called by xnviewmp process was : archive.dll )
Then I also copied
AddOnS folder from 1.6.4 to 1.6.3 , and it works ¡tambien !

Oh ok, you are on Win7. So right perhaps last version of archive.dll is only for Win10+
