Not all PNG files are recognized as valid PNG

Post by MaxSt »

Step 1. Disable libmng.dll plugin.

Step 2. Try open these two PNG files in XnView.

Result: Only the first one is recognized. XnView cannot open the second image.

Used to work for me. Both files do load and animation runs with 1.96 ... but with 1.99.1 the black one is not recognized "format could not be determined" ... regression in XN or the APNG is invalid :-(
There is indeed no WinZIP under my rock.

Then it kinda works.

But I shouldn't enable that option. Why is there "read error"? There should be no read errors.
