RC5: Compare dialog: Short cut

Post by helmut »

Pretty silently the Compare dialog has been introduced in RC4. Another nice new feature. But it needs a bit of fine-tuning, still.

The compare dialog is something that people might use often, so it should get a short cut. Perhaps Dreamer knows which shortcut can be used.

Yes, nice feature...

I suggest Ctrl+F10 (as secondary shortcut, because I use it often in my file manager :wink: ).

And primary... Shift+C ?

What about "Generate File Listing" - is there any shortcut for it ?

I suggest Ctrl+M (as secondary shortcut, also same as in my file manager - "Make file list").

And primary - Shift+L

Everyone agree with:
Ctrl+F10 , Shift+C => Compare
Ctrl+M, Shift+L => file listing

Shift+L doesn't work.

Shift+C => Compare - shortcut is missing in context menu
Shift+L => file listing - shortcut is missing in context menu

Moved back to "New/Open"

The purpose of keyboard shortcuts is to give quick access to often used features. Don't tell me you're creating file listings on a daily basis...

Verified fixed in RC7. (Short cuts are available as suggested by Dreamer above.)
