You want a screenshot of what? it not doing anything - there's nothing to show??m.Th. wrote:Screenshot?ijx77 wrote:The browser toolbar item "show files in subfolder" doesn't show its state (ie on/off - grey/not grey etc)
Re: Toolbar item "show files in subfolder" doesn't show stat
ok in case it's non obvious here are some screenshots - I've annoted them..
Example of buttons that show status ("on/off")
"show files in subfolder button" (showing hover state, not status, mouse cursor not captured) If I click this it has an "on/off" state, but doesn't register it visually.

Aha! - sorry I don't use that button. I do it from the Right-Click menu in Folders tree.ijx77 wrote:ok in case it's non obvious here are some screenshots - I've annoted them..

Of course I don't know - but I find it quite difficult to mange the state there because even if is just one way to go in (by executing the same piece of code) it might be many paths to go out (change folder, filter, search etc.). But if it is simple, then I'd vote for it. We surely need a visual clue that we are in flat view of the folder.

Re: Toolbar item "show files in subfolder" doesn't show stat
Problem still exists in v0.84: When activating "Show files in subfolders" the toolbar button isn't "checked" (remains pressed).

If you click on the button "Show files in subfolder", XnView will switch to "show folders recursively" mode until you press the button, again. (correct).
Problem: The button does not indicate this "show folders recursively" mode. I.e. when looking at the toolbar button the user cannot see that "Show folders recursively" is active or not.
Re: Toolbar item "show files in subfolder" doesn't show state
O.k., thank you, I can also reproduce the problem. Issue 1247 is fixed in next version.

Re: Toolbar item "show files in subfolder" doesn't show state
This problem is supposed to be fixed in XnView MP 0.87. Please check and confirm the bug fix here.

Re: Toolbar item "show files in subfolder" doesn't show state
Tested in 0.87 beta 2, fixed.
The button stays pressed untill recursive mode is exited by selecting a folder in the tree pane.
And, after right-click on a folder in the tree pane and selecting Show all files (recursive), the button also gets a pressed state.
