0.75 playing video
Difference in the format of dates & times on many displays.
Version 0.75 only show Hours:Minutes
Version 0.72 always shows Hours:Minutes:seconds
I noticed Seconds are missed in labels under the Thumbnails, in file properties tab, EXIF tab and in the Change Timestamp dialog.

Re: No new bugs between 0.72 & 0.75??
With version 0.75 we can't play any video
The player buttons comes visible as well as the time bar, but the play button is inactive.
I tried in the browser / preview and in full screen as well. Same result.
We can even move the position on the time bar but no way to (dis)play any image from the video.

Re: 0.75 playing video
Hi,
I have searched the Forum for an issue on Video playback in XnViewMP, that I experience on a single machine from the first Installation throughout ALL Versions, currently 076.1 x64.
Same Situation as "B.Douille" wrote:
The same Videos run fine in Windows Media Player, VLC or similar (e.g., if started from XnViewMP "Open (System)")
The machine with the issue explained above is:
Packard Bell ENBFXS, 6GB RAM, Win7 Home Premium SP1 64bit
K-lite installed.
(In parallel I have XnViewMP running on another machine yet WITHOUT that issue: Dell Latitude 3440, 4GB RAM, Win7 Professional SP1 64bit, currently XnViewMP 0.72 x64).
In XnView (Classic) that issue does NOT occur on the same machine (the Video playback implementation looks different there, but works well).
Any idea?
Beside that it's a great piece of software - appreciate it a lot!
Thanks and regards, fussfolk.

This happens to any Video and all kinds of Video files (avi, mts,...), in either preview or full-screen. In full-screen showing STILL Images is always fine, however, if VIDEO appears it's even infeasible to switch to the next slide (either STILL or VIDEO) - program has to be shut down and restarted. The player buttons comes visible as well as the time bar, but the play button is inactive.

Hi Pierre, thanks for fast feedback!xnview wrote:XnViewMP 0.75 use now WMF (Windows Media Foundation) codec no more DirectShow codecs
Maybe I do not get your point so far: Do I need to reconfigure something to assign WMF codec???
Thanks and regards, fussfolk.
Re: 0.75 playing video
I think that Klite install WMF and DirectShow codec, but i'm not an expert of video codecfussfolk wrote:Hi Pierre, thanks for fast feedback!xnview wrote:XnViewMP 0.75 use now WMF (Windows Media Foundation) codec no more DirectShow codecs

Re: 0.75 playing video
Well, in the meantime I have tried Klite as well as X Codec Pack, but same result: XnViewMP does not play Video via its built-in player at all, i.e., the player's control panel appears, but screen remains completely white (or grey), pressing start button (or any other button of Player Panel) does not yield any action. Even worse, I can not return from that empty player Screen to the General (thumbnail) Screen, just Close the Player Window, which Closes XnViewMP at all.
Any idea yet?
(As mentioned above, on a different Laptop I do not experience those issues (Win7 Professional there instead of Home Premium here).)

Re: 0.75 playing video
Came back to this issue again yesterday and found out, that on the quoted Win7 Professional machine video playback does work on 0.72, but NOT on 0.76.1 anymore (no matter what video type).fussfolk wrote: (As mentioned above, on a different Laptop I do not experience those issues (Win7 Professional there instead of Home Premium here).)
So far I am still fine with 0.72, but any idea what has happened from 0.72 towards 0.76.1 regarding video playback?
Thanks and regards, fussfolk.
