0.75 Linux / and * numpad keys don't work

Post by Dipish »

Using the default shortcut configuration, / is supposed to zoom to fit and * is supposed to zoom to 100%. Pressing these keys on the numpad no longer works (it used to, I had 0.64 installed before that I think). Pressing * and / on the main keyboard section works, however.

Hello,
Confirmed, probably a bug ... "/ * - + " numpad zoom keys do not work anymore under Linux MP0.75 x64 here (into: preview mode, view mode, and full screen mode).

PS: ... and if you mouse scroll, into a folder with a lot of thumbnails (browser mode), if you scroll down until the bottom/end of this folder ... then it is impossible to scroll up anymore (an other bug into v0.75 linux)

This 2nd Bug is not only linux, Windows also. I reported this here, along with what seems to cause it.

Hi everybody! I can confirm that numeric keypad doesn't work even in version 0.76.1 on Ubuntu 14.04 regardless of numlock state.

Hi,

as stated above the problem is still persisting. Having just upgraded to 076.1 on Kubuntu 15.10 I had to realize that the "/" "*" "+" and "-" keys on the numpad are no longer registered by XnView. I can use the keys in the menus (for example to set a hot key) just fine. Outside the menu they are ignored however. The number/cursor keys and the enter key from the numpad work just fine though.
Since I'm used to those keys for years now, this is a make or break issue for me. So I've had to downgrade to the 0.72 again which I've had on file.

Just for completion:

This seems to be the same bug as I reported here: http://newsgroup.xnview.com/viewtopic.php?f=62&t=32455

Hi,

I have the same problem on my laptop running ubuntu 14.04. with 0.76.1.
If I go to assigning shortcuts it works perfectly though.
Just a plus information that might be helpful:
So for me to reach * I need the combination AltGr+-,
and if I press this combination it rather interprets it as -.
After downgrading to 0.72 it works as expected again.

By the way one can find the old versions here if wanted to downgrade:

This bug is unfortunately still present in 0.78.

Pierre do you have any idea why did it go wrong after 0.72?

Thanks,

András

... Strange, until the 0.78MPx64 linux version, I do not have this zoom issue with numpad keys (+-/*) ... maybe here related to a system update?

Hi,

I just checked and this issue is still present in 0.83.
Is there any progress on the Qt bug fixing?
Which is the specific bug, we could just vote for it to make fixing higher priority :-)?

Best,

András
