Nasty list bug with non-image files

Post by Devil »

If I have three files and run XnView MP (0.79) on the last one, it shows 3/3, but upon any refresh (next/prev image, click menu, etc) it repairs to correct 2/2. But if you try rename the file with F2, app crashes.
And what is worst - if you run the second file and do the rename, it actually will rename the third file without any warning!

Can you please look into it? Thanks

Which OS? In Win 10 x64 with MP 0.79 x64 happens only "3/3 -> 2/2".

Now, that I'm trying it some more, the crash/wrong rename is not so consistent. Sometime it does it, sometime it "works" just fine. But in all cases it still shows wrong count.
I'm not sure what cause it anymore - here are some of the crash reports: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/591 ... 9cb638.dmp https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/591 ... f7f82f.dmp and https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/591 ... cd2cba.dmp .

P.S. I have Win 10 x64 and use 0.79 x64 too (and I've seen the same behavior on Win 7 x64)

I'll start the XnViewMP on the last file, press F2, enter different name, press ENTER.
At least one of the logs is with default settings (I've deleted all the settings and DBs in %appdata%\XnViewMP, started on the last file, confirmed the dialog with wizzard for settings, pressed F2, entered name and pressed enter).

Got my own crash from pattern of actions described by Devil on the second try.
Now I'm thinking if I should upload crash dump via Kolor Crash Reporter which popped up. Web addresses mentioned in message are autopano.net and http://www.kolor.com, none of them are xnview.com, so I don't know how they are related.
Something funny was happening when I started XnView MP on a first try before it showed me picture after I have closed Configuration Wizard. File XnView.db-journal was appearing and disappearing and appearing and disappearing (and so on multiple times) in folder, but maybe it is just by design.
Main message is that yes, you can crash XnView MP 0.79 that way.
And after more testing yes, bug with renaming of 3rd file instead of 2nd works too.
