Logical file sorting (1.jpg -> 2.jpg instead of 1.jpg -> 10)

Post by sacharja »

Hello everyone,

this works like a charm in classic XnView and logical sorting is applied:
1.jpg -> 2.jpg -> 3.jpg -> 4.jpg -> 5.jpg -> 6.jpg -> 7.jpg -> 8.jpg -> 9.jpg -> 10.jpg -> 11.jpg

However in XnViewMP it looks like this (no logical sorting):
1.jpg -> 10.jpg -> 11.jpg -> 2.jpg -> 3.jpg -> 4.jpg -> 5.jpg -> 6.jpg -> 7.jpg -> 8.jpg -> 9.jpg

Would be great if XnViewMP would be able to sort correctly, too. Wonder why this was not noticed before, it's quite obvious while browsing through big image folders (or did I oversee a setting to change sorting?).

Hi sacharja (-:

There are two options in View » Sort by: Name vs. Name (not numeric)

Fantastic, it works. You saved me ;) (didn't realize that the view menu of the browser is different to the view menu in the viewer)
