Unnecessary image recoding

Post by two_legs »

Hi,

I am removing metadata (the only action) from JPEG files. My target format is As original. The problem is that XnConvert recompresses JPEGs. This is not the case in XnView.
If only non-image changing Actions are selected and output format is As Original, the image data should be copied without recoding.

yes currently it's a known issue, you need to use XnView Classic or XnView MP

Hello,

XnView MP left this in my folder (but right, images are not re-encoded):
bad-clean.jpg
bad-clean.jpg (106.12 KiB) Viewed 483 times
so I guess I'll just use exiv2
