I run the XNShell, and have everything installed and generally working. Except if I try to convert an image file to JPG.
I can:
a. click on image (say a GIF or PNG)
b. right click
c. go to XNShell
Then whether I choose CONVERT or CONVERT INTO, I can't convert to JPG. I can do PNG, TIF, pretty much every other format listed. I can do JPEG XR even. But it won't do JPG for some reason. And I have no idea why!
My first reaction was, "What? I don't have latest version? Doh!"
But I upgraded XNView, XNShell and XNConvert all to latest versions, rebooted, and it still won't do JPG. I tested the other default ones (PCX, PNG, BMP, TIF, TGA) and they ALL work fine. I went to XNView and tried converting there, no problem to go to JPG. It just will not work for some reason from the shell.
I usually use xPlorer as my default file manager, but same result in regular file explorer. Also same result if I run regularly or as administrator. Everything works except JPG conversion.
If it works for everyone else, maybe I've installed some sort of JPG viewer in the past and don't remember or something's conflicting. I can't imagine what or how, exactly, but it's the only thing I can think of.
No big whoop, I can use PNG, I just thought if there was some feature / option I could toggle, I'd fix it as I would prefer to. I love the integration into my xPlorer right-click menu.
