Autoplay Videos in File List
Hello! There's a feature I can't seem to understand. In the settings, under "Viewer", I can enable autoplay for videos, which is great. What I don't understand is why, in the file list, when I hover over a video, and even though I'm in detail view without preview, the video starts playing on its own. Is this the expected behavior? I believe that:
- without preview, the video should not play
- but above all, there should be an autoplay option for the viewer and another autoplay option for the file list
I'm sorry if this question was already in the forum. I've looked for it but couldn't find it.
Thank you for this great program.

Re: Autoplay Videos in File List
the preview panel is closed, and you click on a video file, right?
Pierre.
Re: Autoplay Videos in File List
Correct. I have the panel closed and the sound of the selected video can be heard in the background. The solution I've come up with is to open the panel, lower the panel's volume, and close it.
But I believe a more elegant solution would be that:
- the panel's autoplay is independent of the viewer's autoplay
- that autoplay does not work in the file listing if the panel is closed
Thank you very much, boss!

Unfortunately not.Bug Fix Confirmed in XnView MP 1.7.2, Thank you!
The new 1.7.2 just comes with option "Autoplay (video)" unchecked (setup menu Display > Various) in the .ini file. And this is not related to the View mode (detailed, thumbnails only, ...) in the browser.
So, I don't see any progress on the long expected change: Playing Video clips - When required
