Category filter panel: Sidecar not moving with file

When applying a category filter in the category filter panel, the attached sidecar is not moving with the file.

When no filter is applied, siedcar hidden or not, is moved with the file as in the settings described.
The filter in the top bar shows only the media file, not the xmp as expected (in case it is shown). Moving the file in that case also moves the xmp that's hidden because of the filter (in that example I used a 4 star rating).
Doing the same in the category filter panel also hides the xmp but it does not move it with the file.

Tldr:
Filtering with the top bar works as expected but using the category filter panel the same way does not.
Unfortunately the filtering through the top bar is quite limited as it doesn't supports filtering for category(s) or multiple colors/comments.

The xmp still seems to be connected despite being in another folder - i still see the applied rating and categories (or is it because it's also saved in the catalogue?)

You are right, sorry. Here are the steps to reproduce.

First my test setup:
I have a source folder (Location 01) with files that have a rating, a label and a category - all with attached sidecars

And I have an empty target location (Location 02)

Expected result (using the filter in the browser):
I filter for rating and get the file as a result (without the xmp)
I move this filtered file in my target location

In the target I see the file and its attached sidecar

Actual result (using the category filter panel)
I filter for rating and get the file as a result (without the xmp)
I move this filtered file in my target location - same as before

In the target I see only the file - no sidecar

It is left behind in the source folder and wasn't moved/copied/cut/deleted with the file as it should

Possible solution and problem:
I could use the browser filter that works as expected but it can only filter for rating and label and not for category.
In the example I used only the rating but this behaviour also applies to label filter and category filter in the category filter panel.

I just saw ini is not supported as filetype for upload and txt isn't either, so I had to zip it.

Because I didn't have the most recent version, I tried again with 1.8.3 (portable) but the same bahaviour occours.
I hope, you can find a solution.

This problem is supposed to be fixed in XnView MP 1.8.7. Please check and confirm the bug fix here.

As far as I can tell, everything seems to work as expected.
I will do a little further testing in the next days but for now everything is fine.
