Arrow browsing/file index does not work when opening XNView MP for 2nd time

Here is a bug which is making me nuts. Way to reproduce (platform: Windows 11)

- set XNView MP as default program for some file format (JPG, HEIC) so that when you double click that file in File Explorer it opens XNView
- set XNView MP so that it opens in in Viewer mode (settings - general - startup - start with file, Open: Viewer)
- close XNView MP

- open any file in a folder of File Explorer that has multiple image files like heic or jpg by double clicking that file. Lets assume that you choose 4th file from a folder that has 10 images.
BUG1 (smaller bug).
- observed behaviour: FILE INDEX says 1/1
- expected behavior: FILE INDEX says 4/10

- after this if you press arrow left FILE INDEX changes to 3/10 and pic number 3 is shown or if you press arrow right FILE INDEX changes to 5 / 10 and pic 5 is shown.

BUG2 (larger bug)
- double click another picture in the folder while XNView MP is open e.g. pic number 7
- observer behaviour: FILE INDEX says again 1/1 and arrow left and arrow right buttons stop working
- expected behaviour: FILE INDEX says 7/10 and arrow left moves to pic 6/10 and arrow right to pic 8/10


BUG2 can be circumvented by first closing XNView MP program and then reopening it by double clicking pic 7 and arrow browsing works again. Anyway when browsing through hundreds of pics this slows down work considerably.


Reproduced both in 1.8.3 and 1.8.4

This problem is supposed to be fixed in XnView MP 1.8.7. Please check and confirm the bug fix here.
