Navigator in compare mode

Post by simon »

Hi,
I would love to have an option "show navigator" (as in view mode) in compare mode. This would help me to find corresponding areas of different photos of the same subject (to select the better one) when they are displayed at 100% magnification. Without this tool, it is a bit hard to find these areas when the subject takes only a small part of the frame and the frame varies between photos (e.g. for birds in flight)
Thanks
simon

I means:
In the brower, I select 2 to 4 images, then I click on tool/compare (shift C). Then, a new window called "Compare x-z - XnviewMP' opens with the selected images shown side by side. At the bottom of this new window, there are a number of options such as showing / no showing grid, info, CRC, histogram and so on. I would love to have an additional option "navigator" to show / no show an inset (similar to the histogram inset) but showing the whole image then it is zoomed in so much that it becomes larger than the frame, i.e. that pops-up exactly in the same way a navigator inset pops-up in the view mode when the case "show navigator" is checked in settings/view

Yes, this is something that I have suggested to you before, Pierre. :) A few days ago, remember?

Settings:View:Show navigator should be available in "Compare Files".

This is the feature that allows you to position the viewport when you are zoomed in to an image.
