Error when browsing specific folder

Post by cristobal »

I have been using xnview (minimal edition, or whatever it's called) for more than a year, and I was about to declare it my all-time favourite, when...

... this is the error report I keep getting whenever I try to open a - specific - new folder, with some 100 or so pics. I downloaded & installed all the plugins available, but no success.

Download latest beta version (RC1) from New/Open forum (first topic) and check again.

If you don't feel like running beta software, download latest official version, ie. 1.80.3 and try it.

So please try with RC1 or wait till 1.82 release. Maybe your problem has already been solved there.

I did as you suggested, & installed the RC1, but the problem remains: as soon as I open the folder in question in thumbnails, the same report appears after showing some 3 or 4 thumbnails... :(

let's wait for the official release... thnx again :!:

Probably a broken file makes XnView crash. Could you determine the file crashing XnView and send it to Pierre (author)? If the file is too big for e-mail, you can use file-hosting service, like rapidshare.de

Please verify also if file opens OK in another software.
