I second that request after having mentioned the same thing in another thread http://newsgroup.xnview.com/viewtopic.php?p=6427 and this thread being pointed out to me :)

I support the idea, seems to be quite frequently requested!

I wish key-remapping…

Post by Clo »

:) Hello !

- This request is related to that thread

- I would prefer also the space-bar like formerly for the “Next file”.
- So, I think that a feature / tool to remap the shortcuts keys could be very useful, like we have in Total Commander, for instance…

 Kind regards,
Claude

Perhaps keyboard mapping for just one key would be a good beginning.

- Most certainly, but I guess that the basic codes to add could be the same as well for one key as for twenty…

I support the idea.

And I think is werry useful to store the shortcuts configuration in one .INI file instead of registry.

I agree, maybe in the xnview.ini, but it's not so important.

Try this as workaround, really great program - HotkeyP. You can assign any keyboard and mouse shortcut to any existing feature / action (hotkey, shortcut, menu item) - not only for XnView, but for almost any program.

I support fully customizable keyboard (+mouse) shortcuts! So many great applications offer that feature (for example openoffice.org) I'll prefer the settings to be stored in a separate file beause I think that many users would like to transfer their settings(file) to other existing XnView installations.
