Yes, but this once finished, there is nothing to warry about.
Please keep on going, because we have been waiting for a few years!

However, IMHO, I don't think MP can replace the native Win32/64 XnView, as the performance of it may not as high as the native Win32/64 version.
(Oh, whether XnView needs MMX/SSE/SSE2/SSE3 and PGO Optimized to make higher performance?)

And the QT-GUI may not give the native windows style feel to user, I have test the MP alpha 0.001, the UI seem too strange for me.

Also, we don't know when the MP will be available...

Will MP replace native Win32/64 version?

I've made some tests, and XnView MP has the same performance as XnView win.

Strange???

I don't know yet, i need to finish the first beta.
And XnView win can not be built on win64 (XnView MP can).

emm..
I feel XnView MP too slow on my XP and always crash... :(

Correctly, I don't like QT-GUI-basd applications on Windows Platform. They give me the worst impression, always hang, slow, not all native windows style.

Do we have to wait xnview MP or xnview win 2.0 for Unicode?

This is only an alpha!!! And too slow for what?

XnView MP i think
Too slow for listing files in browser.
I have to resize the setting dialog for full view of options...

Ha,I think the progress of XnView MP is much slower than of win 2.0(with Unicode)...
However, please keep on it.

Personally I think Qt looks and feels ok. But I know what you mean, Killua. For example, I cannot stand GTK-based applications, I just hate the way they look, they're wasting so many pixels and the whole GUI looks "out of balance".

I still prefer the native Windows 2000 look. But I'm quite intrigued by the Qt-look of XnView MP. If the GUI (resizing preview area) only wasn't so damn laggy.

I really wonder what you guys are talking about...
besides xnviewmp being alpha, it actually feels at least as fast and responsive than xnview (at least on vista 64)
